Join us for a musical evening in Dunollie. We will be welcoming a number of traditional Scottish musicians and dancers, whose performances you will be able to enjoy as you wander around our site. You may listen to a variety of beautiful instrument, have a go at some dances yourself and sample some of the Kettle Garden Cafe's light bites and refreshments. 

This event takes place partly outdoor so please bring warm and waterproof clothing. All children must be accompanied by an adult, they may additionally be accompanied by a dog as long as it is on a lead.

Follow our Heritage Manager, Catherine Gillies into the 1745 House Museum for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour and discover our latest temporary exhibition: Hope, Behind the Lens. This event will take place over zoom and last about an hour, although that can be flexible if there are still questions after that. It will be an opportunity to find out more how the exhibition came to be but also who Hope MacDougall was and why her work is so significant.

This is the last and most magical of this summer's school holiday workshops, perfect to keep children aged 3-10 busy learning and exploring outdoors! In this session, our young participants will go on a quest around Dunollie's Grounds to find faeries and help us write magical faerie stories to add to our faerie book. They will also create their own faerie house and beautiful faerie costumes.

This event takes place partly outdoor so please bring warm and waterproof clothing. All children must be accompanied by an adult, they may additionally be accompanied by a dog as long as it is on a lead.

Dunollie Museum, Castle & Grounds will exceptionally open it's doors on a Saturday for an afternoon of unique family fun! Drop in for a couple hours at any point between 12pm and 4pm and take part in a range of activties related to Flags and Ropes all around our site. These can include making your own family flag to take home, weaving frames to decorate Dunollie, learning how to use flags for signalling and how to tie knots on ropes, as well as, tug of war and flag racing games!
The Kettle Garden Cafe will be open for refreshments.

This event takes place partly outdoor so please bring warm and waterproof clothing. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs on a lead are welcome in all of Dunollie's outdoor spaces.

This is the second of this summer's school holiday workshops, perfect to keep children aged 3-10 busy learning and exploring outdoors! In this session, our young participants will explore Dunollie's Historic Woodland Grounds, and play fun guess the plant games as they learn about many of the species that can be found in Dunollie. They will also learn to grow plants themselves and be able to take one home with them as well as make their own bird swing out of wood.  

This event takes place partly outdoor so please bring warm and waterproof clothing. All children must be accompanied by an adult, they may additionally be accompanied by a dog as long as it is on a lead.
