Tom Heap is a well known investigative journalist appearing regularly on BBC news programmes such as Countryfile, Panorama, Newsnight and Costing the Earth and reporting on topics such as rural affairs, climate change, energy and environmental policy. He has won awards for documentaries about food waste and plastic in the oceans and has an enduring interest in the Arctic (his father headed the Foreign & Commonwealth Office Polar Regions Section).
